Matt Cottini
Eximo Coach and Founder
As a Firefighter and Haz Mat technician, Matt has firsthand experience with the challenges of physical injuries and post-traumatic stress injury (PTSI) following 15 years of serving as a first responder. He survived a major incident in 2019 that resulted in years of physical therapy and rehabilitation for numerous injuries. Those injuries resulted in Matt taking a medical retirement much earlier than he wanted and brought PTSI to the forefront as an immediate and ongoing challenge.
Through that experience, Matt became clear that his life’s mission is to work for all first responders, their families, and the community.
Matt has over 25 years of experience coaching and mentoring individuals and groups to achieve breakthrough results for themselves and their lives in the areas of career, health, self-expression, personal growth, and transformation. Now he is compiling all of that experience and knowledge to impact first responders’ mental well-being through Integration Coaching, Peer Support, and community development programs.
As a coach, Matt’s expertise is in partnering with his clients to bring forth who people want to be for themselves and their lives. Working alongside them to overcome potential internal barriers, navigate past traumas, and develop new ways of being.
Matt is available for speaking engagements, interviews and podcasts regarding all aspects of First Responder mental health, cultural competency for counselors and coaches, peer support training and more.
Jessica Silva Eximo coach
Jessica has been able to experience several facets of first responder work first as an EMT, then as a 911 dispatcher. After receiving her degree in Criminal Justice, worked as a probation officer with domestic violence offenders. She also spent 7 years as a K9 handler for wilderness search and rescue as part of Virginia Dept. of Emergency Management. She currently works as a workshop instructor for O2X Human Performance, focusing on military, government, and first responder mental resilience and physical wellness.
Jessica completed the coaching program through Being True To You after receiving their services for psychedelic preparation and integration. She has been married for 25 years to a now-retired SOF operator, and served as ombudsman for a SEAL command for 6 years. They are enjoying the empty-nester life living in the mountains, finding new purpose supporting others through their healing journey.
Fun fact: she volunteered for 2 years at a wolf sanctuary in Colorado as a tour guide and caretaker, and almost lost a finger.
